Jawa Perak priced at Rs 1.89 lakh

The Jawa brand has been revived in India with three new models – the Jawa, the Jawa Forty Two and the Jawa Perek. The Jawa and Jawa Forty Two are powered by a smaller motor and will go on sale before the Perak, head here to know more. The Perak, meanwhile, is set to go on sale in 2019 and has been priced at Rs 1.89 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The Perak looks very different from the other two models. Its low and long stance and bobber styling cues look impressive. The bike was showcase in a matte black colour scheme and we believe Jawa will offer it in a few more colours as we get closer to the launch date. The bike also ditches all the chrome for matte black treatment. The Perak will be available as a single-seater and features a different tool box design. It gets bobber-like styling element like the floating seat, bar-end mirrors, chopped fenders and stubby exhaust mufflers.

The factory custom Jawa Perek is powered by a 334cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder, DOHC engine which develops 30hp and 31Nm of toque. In comparison, the Jawa and Jawa Forty Two make 27hp and 28Nm of torque. The Perak also has a different subframe and suspension set-up at the rear. The bike is likely to employ a monoshock and also features a disc brake at the rear unlike the other two Jawa models. However, whether it employs dual-channel ABS or a single-channel one remains to be seen.
