The 13th edition of the Autocar Performance Show is set to commence today. Held at the MMRDA grounds in Bandra-Kurla Complex, Mumbai from December 13-16, the show displays the best from the world of cars and bikes for all the auto enthusiasts. Narain Karthikeyan, the first Indian to race in Formula 1, was the chief guest at the inauguration ceremony.
The 2018 edition of the Autocar Performance Show boasts of a record number of brands participating including Porsche, Maserati, Lamborghini, Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Volvo, Jeep, Mini, Skoda, Hyundai, Renault, Honda, Maruti Suzuki Arena, Tata Motors, Ford and Mahindra & Mahindra. There are a number of two-wheeler heavyweights participating as well like Ducati, Kawasaki, BMW Motorrad, Harley-Davidson, Triumph Motorcycles, Motoroyale Kinetic, Suzuki and TVS Motor. Two brands making their debut in Mumbai are Kia Motors and MG Motor. Kia Motors will display the Stinger GT and the Sportage SUV models whereas MG Motor will provide a glimpse of its model line-up in India at the 2018 Autocar Performance Show.
Enthusiasts will also appreciate the line-up of performance cars at APS 2018. Cars like the all-new BMW M2 Competition, Audi A5 and RS5, Mercedes-AMG E 63 S and Maserati GranTurismo S will be on display alongside SUVs like the Lamborghini Urus and the Mercedes-AMG G 63. Other models that will be showcased are the Nissan Kicks, Maserati Ghibli and Levante, Porsche Cayenne and the Volvo XC40 and XC90.
A number of exotic cars are also in attendance at the Autocar Performance Show’s Supercar Gallery powered by Mumbai’s largest supercar group, Throttle97. Enthusiasts will love the beauties on display such as the Ferrari 488, Aston Martin DB11 and an Audi R8 V10, among others. Mahindra will also showcase their challenger for the fifth season of Formula E, the M5 Electro racecar.
Motorcycle aficionados are also in for a treat at the 2018 Autocar Performance Show. Kawasaki are displaying their entire Ninja line-up, Motoroyale has brought in a number of models from its multi-brand range while Triumph is showcasing the Street Triple RS, Tiger 800XRx and the Bonneville Bobber. Additionally, the Ducati stand is diaplaying the Panigale V4 superbike alongside the Monster 795. Superbikes like the Kawasaki Ninja H2 and the Honda CBR1000RR are also on display at the Superbike Gallery.
The 2018 Autocar Performance Show also houses live performance zones like the Mahindra 4x4 Zone, Red Bull’s Formula 1 simulator and RaceDynamics’ dynamometer which allows two-wheeler owners to test and see how much power and torque their machine really produces.
