Bajaj has launched a new variant of its Platina, the Platina 110 with CBS. While the new bike is yet listed on Bajaj’s website, the bike has already started reaching dealerships.
The biggest change with the new bike is the Discover 110’s 115.5cc air-cooled DTS-I engine has replaced the current model’s 102cc air-cooled DTS-i motor. The new engine produces 8.6hp and 9.81Nm of torque. That’s 0.7hp and 1.46Nm more than the existing model. As far as dimensions are concerned, the new Bajaj Platina 110 CBS is 3mm longer at 2,006 mm, and 7mm taller at 1,076 mm. The fuel tank capacity has dropped by 0.5 liters to 11 liters.
The Platina 110 is also equipped with the Combi-Braking System (which Bajaj calls Anti Skid Braking) which will become mandatory as per the new safety regulations that are set to come into effect from April 2019. The Platina 110 is also equipped with standard drum brakes at both ends, while a front disc is available as an option.
On the design front, the new bike retains the current Platina’s styling, seeing as it was just recently updated. However, Bajaj will provide new decals inspired from the Discover line of bikes. The Platina 110 will be offered at a premium of under Rs 2,000 over the current bikes price. The current bike will be sold alongside the Platina 110 till its stocks last.
