Hyundai has revealed that its first-ever sub-four metre SUV, the. Available in five variants: E, S, SX, SX(O) and SX+, with three engine options, the Venue is priced competitively between Rs 6.50 lakh and Rs 11.11 lakh (ex-showroom India).
As per, the ratio of the bookings boil down to 65 per cent for the petrol variant and 35 per cent for the diesel variant. Within the petrol bookings, 15 per cent goes to the 1.2 litre petrol variant and the remaining majority goes to the 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol variant, thus indicating the strong response for the all new engine.
This three-cylinder motor makes 120PS of power and 172Nm of torque mated with a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed DCT automatic transmission as options. Its 1.2 litre petrol counterpart makes 83PS and 115Nm and comes with a 5-speed manual as standard. Lastly, its 1.4-litre diesel option makes 90PS of power and 220Nm of torque and comes mated to a 6-speed manual.
Key highlights from the Hyundai Venue include it being the first made-in-India connected SUV, being equipped with connected features via an e-SIM from Vodafone known as Hyundai Blue Link. Apart from this, it also gets an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Other features such as climate control, remote start, location tracking along with safety features like six airbags, electronic stability control, hill assist and more are present on the Hyundai Venue.
The Venue has certainly started off well, with Hyundai's order book swelling fast.
