- Both the 650NK and the 650MT have been spied testing in India.
- The 650GT to follow suit.
- Both bikes will go toe-to-toe with the 650s from Kawasaki.
- Expect both bikes to cost under Rs 6 lakh (ex-showroom).
CFMoto is all set to make a splash in India in the month of July with the 650NK and 650MT. Both 650 motorcycles will bear a sub-Rs 6 lakh price point, with the naked being the more affordable offering. CFMoto has joined hands with Bangalore-based AMW Motorcycles to manufacture its bikes in India. A manufacturing plant has already been setup in Bangalore, which in its full strength will be able to produce 10,000 units on a yearly basis.
We have received these teaser videos from the company itself. While there is no date yet, the teaser has clearly stated that the bikes will arrive in July itself. By bringing the 650s as its first products, we believe CFMoto is likely to pitch itself as the affordable performance motorcycle manufacturer. Where the CFMoto 650NK will go up against the Kawasaki Z650, the 650MT will rival the Kawasaki Versys 650. Meanwhile, the 650GT, which will arrive later this year, will take on the Ninja 650. The company plans to launch nearly five motorcycles by the end of the year.
Powering both 650s is a 649cc parallel-twin motor. However, both motorcycles appear in a different state of tune. The naked is a bit low on power (61PS) as it does not have to deal with the excess weight of the fairing found on the adventure tourer, which has 70PS on tap.
