KTM 390 Adventure 250 Adventure To Be Showcased At EICMA Today

  • Expect both the KTM 390 and 250 Adventure to feature a Euro 5/BS6 -compliant engine.
  • The 390 Adventure will draw power from a 373cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder motor.
  • The 250 Adventure will be powered by a 248.8cc liquid-cooled engine.
  • Both get long-travel suspension, alloy wheels and dual-purpose tyres.

The day has finally arrived when Austrian brand KTM will take the sheets off the 390 Adventure and 250 Adventure at the EICMA motorcycle show in Milan, Italy. Our sources suggest that both bikes will be launched in India in December 2019.

The 390 Adventure has been spotted testing a number of times in India with and without accessories. Just in case you’ve missed out, here’s a quick summary of everything there is to know about the 390 Adventure. The 250 Adventure, on the other hand, was spotted quite recently and does away with a couple of components, presumably to keep the price more competitive.

The 390 Adventure for one, is powered by the same 373cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine seen on the 390 Duke. That said,  it’s likely to feature updates to make it Euro 5/BS6-compliant. It should produce around the same power input as the current-gen 390 Duke (43PS and 37Nm) with some changes to its gearing to offer better low and mid-range grunt. Expect the same changes to be carried over to the 250 Adventure which will use the same engine from the 250 Duke. A motor that makes 29.91PS of power 24Nm of torque.

Both ADV’s are expected to be well kitted and feature a full-colour TFT display, which is expected to be Bluetooth compatible. In terms of pricing, we expect the 390 Adventure to be priced between Rs 3 lakh to Rs 3.2 lakh (ex-showroom). The 250 Adventure may be Rs 50,000 cheaper.
