The ZS EV will be offered in two variants, named Excite and Exclusive. It comes loaded with a host of features like an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, i-SMART EV 2.0 connected tech, climate control and a PM 2.5 AC filter. Other bits include heated OVRMs, a panoramic sunroof and keyless entry with push button stop-start. It also gets safety equipment such as six airbags, ABS+EBD, rear parking sensors, rear view camera and ESC.

The main talking point of the ZS EV is what's under the hood. It is powered by an electric motor delivering 143PS/353Nm to the front wheels, juiced up by a 44.5kWh battery pack. MG Motors claim the EV can go 340km on a single charge. It also has fast charge support with 0-80 per cent charge in 50 minutes. A bigger 73kWh battery pack for the EV is in the works with an expected range of 500km.

Prices for both variants of the ZS EV will be revealed once the electric SUV launches in January 2020. Expect a price range between 23 lakh and 25 lakh. It will initially be launched in Delhi-NCR, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Ahmedabad and Bengaluru. Once launched, it will take on the in the Indian market.
