Bajaj Auto has officially launched the Bajaj Pulsar 150 BS6 at a starting price of Rs 94,956 (ex-showroom Delhi) for the standard variant. The more premium Twin Disc variant will now arrive at a price point of Rs 98,835. Both variants come at a premium of Rs 8,998. The bikes had already made their way to Bajaj dealerships this past week.
We were aware the 149.5cc engine would arrive with fuel injection. There is a slight change in tune. Power remains the same at 14PS, but it is now produced at 8500rpm -- 500rpm higher than the old carb engine. Like we have seen on other bikes before, the torque has dipped. The engine now pumps out 13.25Nm at 6500rpm. This peak output is 0.15Nm lower and arrives at 500rpm higher. The only other change reported is the increase in kerb weight, which now stands at 148kg, 4kg heavier than the BS4 bike.
