  • All three variants of the NTorq 125 have made it to BS6.
  • The 125cc engine is highly likely to be fuel-injected.
  • No further mechanical changes are expected.

With TVS days away from launching the BS6 version of its racy scooter, the TVS NTorq 125 BS6, we’ve received the prices of the updated model. The three variants will make it to the BS6 era, priced at Rs 65,975 for the drum, Rs 69,975 for the disc, and Rs 72,455 for the Race edition. The premium you end up paying for each variant is Rs 6,513, Rs 9,980 and Rs 7,530, respectively. All prices ex-showroom Delhi.

In order to meet the BS6 emission norms, TVS would have had to equip the 124.79cc single-cylinder 3-valve motor with fuel-injection. Unlike the TVS Jupiter BS6 that gets an Ecothrust fuel-injection system, we guess the NTorq 125 BS6 will be getting the Race Tuned fuel-injection system to keep the scooter’s racy intentions alive. Still, expect a small change in output as is the trend with most BS6 products.

It seems unlikely that TVS would change the mechanicals of the scooter. It should run the same telescopic fork, rear monoshock, and 12-inch wheels as before. No changes are likely in the braking department as well. We expect an official announcement from TVS with all the details soon.

Compared to other BS6 125cc scooters, the TVS NTorq 125 BS6 is priced on par with the Suzuki Access 125 BS6 while the Honda Activa 125 BS6 commands a small premium over the TVS scooter. Hence, expect even the Honda Grazia BS6 to be pricier than the NTorq 125.
