If you had booked a brand new Bajaj Pulsar 220F BS6, then you might want to check your inbox or answer your dealer’s call because deliveries of the BS6 version have begun! In case you didn’t know, the updated Pulsar 220F now retails at Rs 1.16 lakh (ex-showroom), making it around Rs 8,900 more expensive than before. So what do you get for the extra moolah? Well, apart from an updated motor, nothing much.
The 220cc fuel injected motor now produces 20.39PS, which is 0.54PS less than before. We expect the torque figure to slightly differ as well. For perspective, the BS4-compliant motor makes 18.55Nm of torque. While the older version tipped the scales at 155kg, the BS6 version is expected to be slightly heavier thanks to the addition of a new cat-con and an updated exhaust system.
Apart from this, the rest of the motorcycle remains the same as the older BS4 version. It still uses a telescopic fork at the front and twin-shock absorbers at the rear. Braking is done by a 260mm disc up front and a 230mm disc at the rear coupled with single-channel ABS.
In other news, bookings for the NS160, Avenger Street 160, Avenger 220 have begun as well. And in the midst of all these updated motorcycles, Bajaj has also launched the much-awaited Dominar 250!
