- This is the second recall for the BS6 Activa.
- Honda had just launched the Dio BS6.
- Honda will be contacting owners personally via its large dealer network.
It has hardly been a month since Honda launched the Dio BS6 for it to be recalled over a small suspension bushing issue. The faulty bushing has also affected the Honda Activa 6G as well as the Activa 125 BS6 which were produced between February 14-25. This is the second recall for the Activa 125 BS6 which was earlier reported to have a problem with the cooling fan cover.
The current issue pertains to the rear three-step monoshock unit which has been found to be running with faulty bushings. There are chances of oil leakage on to the rear tyre, leading to a potential spill. Honda will be replacing the said component free of charge on affected scooters.
Honda is seeking to rectify this problem by contacting all of the owners of the affected scooters individually. It has asked its vast dealer network to alert the customer via call, SMS or email. In case you have purchased any one of these three scooters recently and want to know if your scooter is affected, head over to the company’s official website.
