- Damon had launched the Hypersport HS and Hypersport Premier at CES 2020 in January.
- The new electric motorcycles are priced similar to the Hypersport Premier.
- The Hypersport claims to have a top speed of 320kmph!
- The motorcycles will be production-ready by the end of 2021.
Back in January, Damon Motorcycles had showcased the Hypersport electric superbike and also revealed its prices. The Hypersport HS retails for USD 24,995 (Rs 19 lakh) while the higher specced Hypersport Premier costs USD 40,000 (Rs 30.5 lakh). Now, the electric bikemaker has announced two variants of the Premier version -- Arctic Sun and Midnight Sun.

Part of the reason for unveiling the two variants is that all 25 units of the limited-edition Premier version, also called the Founders Edition, sold out within four days of its unveiling. The two variants feature new colour schemes and cost USD 39,995, the same as the Founders Edition electric superbike. These three versions are more expensive than the Hypersport HK owing to the top-spec Ohlins suspension setup and Brembo braking components as well as a single-sided swingarm.
All versions of the Hypersport get a liquid-cooled electric motor that develops a staggering 16kW of peak power that helps propel the bike from 0-100kmph in under 3 seconds and a top speed of 200mph (320kmph). It claims a fantastic range of 200+ miles (320km) thanks to a 21.5kWh liquid-cooled battery pack. Damon claims the batteries can be fully charged in under 3 hours using a Level 2 charger.
Other than the stonking electric powertrain, the Damon Hypersport gets two unique features called Copilot and Shift. Copilot is a 360-degree advanced warning system that scans the road around the motorcycle and warns the rider of obstacles via haptic feedback on the handlebars, LED’s on the windshield and an always-on rear camera displayed on the dashboard. The Shift tech allows the rider to change the riding position from sporty to commuter at the touch of a button. The windscreen, handlebars, seat and footrest electronically adjust to two modes (positions) -- sport mode and commuter mode.
