A closer look at the table reveals that Hyundai sold 3,212 units of the Creta in May 2020. Meanwhile, the could change the result next month.

We also saw some new entrants make it to the list, namely the. Tata's premium hatchback, known for its impressive safety, managed to claim the second spot in the premium hatchback segment. The relatively pricey Mahindra XUV300 also made it to the list and was the tenth best-selling car in May 2020.
Segment-wise, SUVs were the most favoured ones followed by hatchbacks. It's interesting to note that people movers are also gaining popularity in the country thanks to the Ertiga and Eeco. Surprisingly, the Dzire is the only sedan that made it to the list. This could be due to change in trends combined with the poor car sales due to the coronavirus pandemic.
