Maserati Unveils Future Roadmap Including Electrification Of Entire Lineup

• The initial phase is already underway with the Ghibli Hybrid, Trofeo models and the MC20 sportscar.

• A new SUV called the Grecale will debut in 2021 and sit below the Levante.

• The GranTurismo and GranCabrio will get a generational update and will also be the first electrified current Maserati models.

• Generational updates to the Quattroporte and Levante are also in the works.

Maserati's plans have already kicked off this year with the debut of the to the high-performance Trofeo family. At the end of this year, Maserati will kick off its new era post the Ferrari split with the launch of the MC20 sportscar.

Next up will be the recently teased in the SUV lineup and will be available in a variety of powertrain options that include internal combustion engine, hybrid and all-electric powertrains.

After that will be a slew of models that include the next generation, which will also be the first Maserati models to get the electrification treatment, followed by the MC20 with convertible and all-electric versions. There's also the new Quattroporte and Levante in the works.

Models aside, the carmaker earlier revealed that all new and updated models will come with autonomous driving technology in Level 2 and Level 3 forms. Level 2 will involve highway assist while the next level involves hands-off driving with maneuvering in lanes. Level 3 can also bring the vehicle to a stop if anything untoward happens.
