Other QJMotor models also revealed
Benelli was forced to stop selling the TRK 502 and many of its other models after the BS6 rule was implemented. The Chinese-owned Italian brand has introduced a BS6-compliant Imperiale 400, but the rest of the models in its line-up are yet to make the switch.
The TRK 502 is one such model, and we expect it to arrive in BS6 form soon. If it does arrive as a rebadged version of the QJMotor , the bike will feature big changes when compared to the model it replaces. The front end is a lot more aggressive while also looking more contemporary.
The biggest highlights include the redesigned tank and its sleeker extensions. The beak also doesn’t feature the cut-outs like before. As for the headlight, it’s a single piece this time around and appears to be an LED unit. Other areas like the seat and the panel that sits below it also appear to be the same.
Mechanical components like the frame, engine, exhaust layout and the swingarm looks similar to the BS4 Benelli TRK 502X that was on sale in India. While there isn’t any information available regarding the instrument cluster, a leak from April 2020 suggested that the middleweight adventure bike would get a full-colour LCD.
The BS4-compliant TRK 502 and TRK 502X were priced at Rs 5.1 lakh and Rs 5.5 lakh, respectively (both prices, ex-showroom, Delhi). However, if the company does update it this extensively, we expect a noticeable price hike.
Other QJMotor updates
Another model that has been updated is the QJMotor version of the Benelli 302S. The Benelli 302S was a model that was expected to launch in India to rival the KTM 390 Duke, but that didn’t end up happening. However, if the company does revive the idea of bringing it here, it’s now expected to look a lot sharper and use a larger 350cc engine this time around.
The images also show the front end of the QJMotor SRB 750 (Benelli TRK 800). It’s expected to be powered by a 754cc parallel-twin that we saw on the Leoncino 800 at EICMA. While it’ll most likely run a different state of tune, the engine's 81hp will be a considerable step-up from the 47hp that the TRK 502 and 502X produce.
