The Rapid TSI AT will be powered by the Volkswagen Group's new 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that develops 110PS of power and 175Nm of torque. It will come paired to a 6-speed torque converter untike the now discontinued Rapid diesel AT, which came with a dual-clutch automatic transmission. Like the new AT variant, the now discontinued 1.6-litre petrol motor too was offered with a torque converter.
