Hero MotoCorp has launched the ‘Stealth’ edition of the Hero Maestro Edge 125. This variant is priced at Rs 72,950, which is Rs 1,500 more than the front disc brake equipped version (ex-showroom Delhi). For the added premium, you get an all-grey colour scheme finished in matte, with 3D ‘Stealth’ badge on the apron, carbon-fibre-themed strips and exclusive black, grey and white combo graphics. The white rim tapes offer a neat contrast to the umm, stealthy-looking scooter.
Other than the cosmetic changes, the scooter remains the same as the front disc brake variant in terms of mechanicals and features. We’d have appreciated it if Hero had offered an LED headlamp in this variant. Notable features include a semi-digital instrument cluster with service reminder, tripmeter among other run-of-the-mill information; LED DRL on the apron, underseat mobile charging port with boot light, external fuel filler cap and i3S technology.
The scooter employs a 124.6cc single-cylinder fuel-injected motor, which churns out 9.10 PS at 7000rpm and 10.4Nm at 5500rpm. Underpinnings include telescopic front fork, rear shock absorber, alloy wheels with tubeless tyres, front 190mm disc and a rear 130mm drum. The new Maestro Edge 125 Stealth edition competes with the recently launched Suzuki Ride Connect-enhanced variant of the Burgman Street, TVS NTorq 125 and Honda Grazia 125.
