  • It is currently offered in a sole 121PS/300Nm 1.5-litre diesel engine, paired exclusively with a 6-speed manual gearbox.

  • The automatic gearbox could be a 6-speed AMT unit.

  • Also expect manual transmission options for the 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine.

  • It is currently priced from Rs 11.25 lakh to Rs 13.59 lakh (ex-showroom).

  • Expect the petrol-powered Marazzo to be a worthy rival to the Maruti Ertiga/XL6 since its pricing could be around that ballpark.

Back in August 2020, when, it hinted that the automatic variants of the MPV would be introduced at a later date. Now it seems that date isn't far off.

A test mule was recently spotted, bearing an 'AutoShift' badge on the lower left corner of the rear end. This badge is also present in the AMT variants, indicating the automatic transmission for the Marazzo will be an AMT. Currently, the Marazzo is offered with a 1.5-litre diesel engine that makes 121PS of power (100PS in Eco) and 300Nm of torque. It is paired exclusively to a 6-speed manual transmission.

We expect the AMT gearbox to be offered with a new 1.5-litre mStallion petrol engine that develops around 160PS. This petrol engine could also be paired with a manual gearbox option.

Mahindra currently retails the Marazzo MPV from Rs 11.25 lakh to Rs 13.59 lakh (ex-showroom). It is offered in three variant trims: M2, M4+, and M6+, in 7- and 8-seater configurations. The introduction of the petrol-powered variants will lower the price range of the MPV. That said, expect a noticeable price difference between the manual and automatic variants for both petrol and diesel options. It currently doesn't have any rivals, but the petrol variants could make it a worthy competitor to the.
