The addition of the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine could benefit the as the 72PS/96Nm naturally aspirated petrol engine lacks grunt, especially on an open road with a full load. One needs to keep the engine on boil to extract the most out of it. The CVT in the turbo engine is smoother than the slow shifting AMT. We expect it to reach showrooms by mid-2021. It is expected to command a premium of around Rs 1 lakh over the naturally aspirated variants, priced from Rs 5.12 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Kiger, on the other hand, is expected to be revealed in early-2021. The exterior design will be inspired by the Kwid while its interior is likely to borrow elements from the Magnite. Just like the Magnite, Renault's upcoming SUV is likely to have an aggressive starting price of around Rs 6 lakh (ex-showroom).
