You can do a lot in little time if you are committed to your vision of fighting climate change by addressing vehicle pollution. If you are looking for inspiration, you need only look at sustainable mobility solutions provider Joy E-Bike. In a short span of four years, the electric bike maker has blazed a fiery trail and set numerous benchmarks on its way to becoming one of the country’s leading electric vehicle manufacturers.
Unlike most electric bikes available in India, crackers such as the Hurricane and Beast will have top speeds of around 120kph, and can be fully charged in just between 8 to 10 hours. The range of superbikes from Joy E-Bike will feature a full LED display, tubeless tyres, LED projector headlamp, dual disc brakes at the front and a single disc at the rear.
Launching the E-superbikes and expanding their range is not the only thing the company, which has won several corporate awards, is engaged in. There are also plans to expand manufacturing capacity, and Joy E-Bikes will soon shift production to a new EV unit with a capacity of over 40,000 e-bikes. The plant, which will open in December, will also be located in Vadodara. The new plant also aligns with one of Joy E-Bike’sfounding principles, and that is of self-reliance and Make in India. Every component of the e-bikes, from chassis to battery, will be made in-house. As importantly, Joy E-Bike is also open to collaborations with other manufacturers who would want to use any of their 16 moulds to manufacture their own, all-Indian electric bike. According to industry reports, annual sales of electric two-wheelers are expected to cross 2 million by 2030, and with its thrust on executing high quality, Make-in-India projects, Wardwizard, through Joy E-Bike, is perfectly poised to garner over 15% of the overall market.
