Yamaha made its debut in the 125cc scooter segment earlier this year with the chic and stylish Fascino 125, and the sporty-looking RayZR 125. Both scooters were fairly reasonably priced at the time of their launch, but since then the prices have crept up slightly. Now, both scooters have received another slight price hike, the first since August. Fortunately, it’s an increase of just Rs 800, which is just about 1%.

On the downside, Yamaha isn’t offering anything extra on the scooters, both of which are desperately in need of some more features. The analogue instruments and halogen headlights seem a generation behind the snazzy digital, LED-lit offerings coming from most other manufacturers.
Both scooters are powered by a 125cc air-cooled 2-valve motor that produces 8.2PS and 9.7Nm, which doesn’t sound like much. But they both weigh less than 100kg fully wet, so performance is not that sluggish.
