The carmaker also announced that the first Nissan Kicks has rolled off the assembly line at the company's plant in Chennai where it will be produced for the Indian market. Nissan has also divulged a few details about the Kicks. It will feature convenience features like a 360-degree view camera, a touchscreen infotainment system and cruise control, among others. The Japanese carmaker also confirmed that the Kicks will come with the same powertrain options that are also available on the Renault.
It will be available with a 1.5-litre petrol engine and the frugal 1.5-litre K9K dCi diesel motor. The petrol engine dishes out 106PS, while the diesel produces 110PS of max power. When launched, the Kicks will rival its cousin, the Renault Captur, and the segment leader, the Hyundai. It is likely to be launched at an introductory price ranging between Rs 10 lakh to Rs 14 lakh.
