. To that effect, Maruti has given it a single cosmetic update - roof rails - which are limited to the Zeta and Alpha variants.
In order to comply with upcoming safety norms, the now gets reverse parking sensors, co-driver seatbelt reminder and a speed alert system which have been added to its extensive standard safety kit. The Ignis was already offered with dual front airbags, ABS and EBD, front seatbelt pre-tensioners with force limiters and ISOFIX child-seat anchor points as standard. With the update, prices of the funky-looking hatchback have also gone up. Here are the new prices:

The Ignis continues to be offered with a petrol powertrain only. The 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine develops 83PS of maximum power and 113Nm of peak torque. Power is sent to the front wheels via either a 5-speed manual transmission or a 5-speed AMT.
