  • The facelifted SUV comes with different headlights, grille and lower bumper design.

  • Rear bumper gets a revision along with reworked taillamps.
  • China launch by the end of this year.

Images of the facelifted version of the Baojun 530 have surfaced the interwebs. The Baojun 530, for the uninitiated is the same depending upon the market. The Baojun 530 first went on sale in March 2018 in Chinese markets and will be getting a facelift in the coming days. The Hector being a novel product in India is highly unlikely to get these changes anytime soon, but if it happens in the near future, here's what it might look like.

The Baojun 530 facelift gets a new front grille, new projector headlamps in a new housing and all-new LED daytime running lights. The front bumper now also features a black lip and a silver skid plate. Baojun hasn't tinkered with the side profile as it looks similar to the existing model barring the new alloy wheels. The rear end meanwhile gets some changes in the form of a new lower bumper design and slightly reworked tail lamps.

The Baojun 530 also gets some minor dimensional changes. The facelift is 40mm longer and sits 10mm than the current model. In China, the SUV is powered by a 1.8-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that makes 137PS and 186 Nm. However, there are various reports stating that the SUV will get the same 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine from Hector. This engine is good for 140PS of power and 250Nm of torque. Transmission choices will include a 6-speed manual and a CVT automatic.

The facelifted version of the 530 is expected to go on sale in China by the end of 2019. Meanwhile, back in India,. Whether these new changes will make thier way into the standard Hector or in the upcoming 7-seater version remains to be seen.
