With the 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show just a couple of months away, has dropped a mysterious teaser image for a new model that it will introduce at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Although Hyundai hasn't revealed anything about the car, the South Korean carmaker has claimed that the new model will "go big" by providing best-in-class safety and connectivity features.
The teaser image doesn't reveal much about what to expect from the model, but our guess is that the car in question is either a hatchback or a crossover with what looks like a floating roof and blacked-out rear pillars. Another interesting tidbit is that the sweptback taillights are positioned close to the door cutout.
There is a strong likelihood that the mystery Hyundai could be the next-gen Hyundai earlier in Europe. What supports this theory is that Hyundai has claimed that the new model will be included in Hyundai's European lineup and that the teaser image gives us a sneak peek of the rear pillar, which resembles the design seen on the test mules spotted earlier.
As we have earlier reported, the next-gen i20 will get a wider and sharper front grille along with sweptback headlights that are separate from the grille along with new LED projector headlamps. Interior shots or details about the hatchback are yet to be revealed, but we can expect the new i20 to be packed with features, including Hyundai's new Blue Link connected car tech that debuted on the.
It's still early days though and Hyundai might introduce an all new model instead of the Elite i20. Whatever Hyundai is teasing, we expect more details about the mystery model to emerge later in the coming weeks. The wait will get over on 12 September when the 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show kickstarts.
