The Grand i10 Nios is completely restyled and comes with a new front fascia. The large smiling grille and projector headlamps have design cues taken from the. At the side, the i10 Nios has a clear profile with minimal lines and comes with dual-tone alloy wheels. While Hyundai hasn't completely revealed the rear-end of the hatchback, the i10 Nios will come with restyled tail lamps and is expected to get a restyled bumper as well.
Inside, the Nios comes with a new dual tone dashboard and there is a floating touchscreen infotainment system a la Hyundai Venue. Hyundai has also shared plenty of parts across its model range to keep costs in check. For example, the steering wheel is from the and the gear lever and AC vents are from the Santro.
Going by the pictures, the Grand i10 Nios comes with features like projector headlamps with DRLs, projector fog lamps, touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control, steering mounted audio controls, keyless entry and push button start. Keen eyes might also spot the wireless phone charger in the Nios which is a first in the segment. We also expect Hyundai to equip the Nios with BlueLink connected-car tech as well.
Under the hood, the i10 Nios will come with the 1.2-litre diesel and petrol engine options from the Grand i10. These are expected to be BS6 ready in the Nios. Transmission options include a 5-speed MT and a 5-speed AMT for both powertrains. The 4-speed torque converter AT which is available in the Grand i10 will not be offered in the Nios.
