Honda has released a first sent of images of the new Breeze SUV. The Honda Breeze will be sold alongside the popular Honda CR-V SUV in the Chinese market initially. The Honda Breeze SUV will be manufactured by Honda in partnership with Guangzhou motors which is Honda's local partner in China.
As seen from the images, the Honda Breeze is based on the CR-V SUV itself but is slightly longer with all the other dimensions such as the width and height being the same. The Honda Breeze however, gets unique front styling which actually looks more modern than the CR-V. The Breeze gets a new and more angular front grille with a thick chrome band on it, just like the newer Honda sedans like the Accord (sold abroad), Civic and the Amaze. The Breeze's gets a squarer headlight design with LED inserts that completes the styling tweaks over the Honda CR-V. The SUV however gets the same bumper design as the CR-V.
On the Inside, the Breeze will feature a five seat cabin with minor equipment differences. Under the hood, Honda will sell the Breeze SUV with a single 1.5-litre turbo engine good for 193hp mated to an automatic gearbox. The Breeze will be sold in the Chinese market in standard and Black edition packages that gets black-painted alloy wheels and wing mirrors along with some other bits.
Closer to home, Honda is reportedly working on introducing the HR-V SUV in India in the coming months. Honda is also readying a new compact SUV for India that will replace the WR-V, however this model is still some time away.
