As automotive sales continue their free-fall for yet another month, carmakers are grappling to find stable ground in what is turning out to be one of the most significant downturns for the Indian auto industry in the recent past. Hopeful of the upcoming festival season, companies are extending lucrative schemes and benefits to boost sales and clear out inventory.

To that extent, Mahindra has authorised its dealer partners to offer attractive cash discounts on its product range for the month of September. Read on to find out how much you can save on a Mahindra vehicle this month.

Mahindra TUV300

Save up to Rs 59,000

The TUV300 got a shot in the arm with a facelift earlier this year that saw a mild design refresh and the addition of safety equipment. One of the many sub-four metre SUVs in Mahindra’s stable, it is powered by a 100hp, 1.5-litre diesel mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. Rivalling the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Tata Nexon and its own sibling, the Mahindra XUV300, the facelifted TUV300 is being offered with discounts to the tune of Rs 59,000 for the base T4+ and T6+ variants and Rs 49,000 for the higher T8 and T10 trims. The range topping T10 (O) can also be had with benefits of Rs 40,000.

Mahindra dealers are clearing stock of the pre-facelift TUV300 by extending cash discounts amounting to Rs 59,000 for the base and Rs 49,000 for the top-end variants. While a bit lacking in terms of features, the previous TUV300 also offers the option of an AMT auto gearbox, a convenience that is missing on the newer model.

Mahindra Scorpio

Save up to Rs 50,000

One of Mahindra’s most popular offerings, the Scorpio is powered by either a 2.5-litre or a 2.2-litre diesel engine, both of which are mated to a manual transmission as standard. The rugged SUV can also be specced with a four-wheel drive system to enhance its off-road abilities. Potential buyers can save up to Rs 50,000 on the lower S5 variant and Rs 30,000 on the better equipped S7, S9 and S11 trims of the Mahindra. Last updated in 2017, the Scorpio is due for a significant upgrade next year

Mahindra Thar

Save up to Rs 46,000

The iconic Thar is a vehicle built for true off-roading. Currently available in the sole CRDe guise with a 107hp, 2.5-litre diesel motor and a four-wheel drive setup, the tough SUV can now be had with benefits of Rs 46,000 for the non-ABS version and Rs 29,000 for the ABS-equipped units. These discount schemes, however, do not extend to the CRDe 700 Special Edition variant, which marks the end of the first-gen SUV. The all-new Thar is expected to make its debut next year.

Mahindra TUV300 Plus

Save up to Rs 45,000

Essentially a nine-seat version of the seven-seat TUV300, the TUV300 Plus offers a unique blend of space and practicality. It is powered by a 120hp, 2.2-litre diesel engine paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox. Opting for the TUV300 Plus can amount to savings of up to Rs 45,000 this month.

Mahindra XUV500

Save up to Rs 45,000

In an increasingly crowded midsize SUV segment, the XUV500 goes up against the likes of the MG Hector, Tata Harrier, Kia Seltos and Hyundai Creta. While it might lack the flash value of recent entrants, the XUV500 does stand out with a third row of seats. Equipped with a pair of 2.2-litre petrol and diesel engines, the Mahindra can be had with manual and automatic transmission options, as well as with the choice of all-wheel drive on the oil burner. While the petrol and mid-spec W5, W7 and W9 diesels are being offered with benefits of up to Rs 37,500, the high-end W11 can attract discounts to the tune of Rs 45,000 this September.

Mahindra Xylo

Save up to Rs 45,000

The Xylo is Mahindra’s large MPV that feels a bit dated, especially with the arrival of better-equipped alternatives in the market. However, a spacious cabin remains a major USP. Available in 7-, 8- and 9-seat configurations, the Xylo gets either a 2.5-litre or a 2.2-litre diesel unit under the hood. A cash discount of up to Rs 45,000 can be availed on all variants of the MPV this month.

Mahindra KUV100 NXT

Save up to Rs 39,000

A hatchback with an SUV-esque upright design language, the KUV100 NXT stands out for its ability to seat up to six people. A rival to the Maruti Suzuki Ignis and Ford Freestyle, the Mahindra hatch is being offered with benefits of up to Rs 39,000 across the board, with the K2 Taxi variant getting a larger discount of Rs 55,000. The KUV100 NXT can be had with either an 83hp, 1.2-litre petrol or a 78hp, 1.2-litre diesel engine mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard.

Mahindra Marazzo

Save up to Rs 32,500

Mahindra launched the Marazzo in 2018 as an answer to the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and Renault Lodgy. The large MPV, which can seat seven or eight people depending on the seating configuration chosen, packs in a 123hp, 1.5-litre diesel unit mated to a manual transmission. Benefits of Rs 32,500 can be currently availed on the high-end M6 and M8 trims, while the mid-spec M4 can be had with up to Rs 25,000 off.

Mahindra Bolero

Save up to Rs 30,000

One of India’s bestselling utility vehicles, the Bolero is synonymous with reliability and ruggedness, though it doesn’t offer much by the way of features. The Mahindra workhorse gets a sole 2.5-litre diesel-manual powertrain that puts out a humble 63hp through a rear-wheel drive setup. The Bolero Plus AC variant is currently on offer with up to Rs 30,000 worth of benefits, with the rest of the range available with a Rs 25,000 cash discount.

Mahindra Bolero Power+

Save up to Rs 25,000

With a sub-four metre length and a smaller 1.5-litre diesel unit, the Bolero Power+ manages to undercut the standard Bolero on price. Moreover, a recent update saw safety features like ABS, driver airbag, reverse parking sensors, speed alert and a seatbelt reminder become standard across the board. Potential buyers can take advantage of Mahindra’s latest schemes and avail benefits in the range of Rs 25,000 on the tough-looking SUV.
