  • The TVS Apache RR 310 BS6 was spotted at a commercial shoot in December.
  • It will get a TFT instrument cluster, likely with smartphone connectivity.
  • The left switchgear gets directional buttons for easier menu navigation.

TVS is all set to launch the BS6-compliant version of its flagship faired bike, the Apache RR 310, tomorrow. The motorcycle was spotted at what looked like a commercial shoot in December last year. Going by the spy pictures, it gets a new TFT instrument cluster likely with smartphone connectivity, like the recently-launched TVS Apache RTR 200 4V BS6.

Apart from this, the TVS Apache RR 310 BS6 also features directional buttons on the left switchgear, which looks similar to the one on the KTM 390 Duke. This should make navigation between the functions in the instrument cluster a lot easier. In the current generation bike, there are only two buttons and those are located next to the screen, making them a little unwieldy to use. Apart from these, the test mule also featured different tyres, likely from TVS itself. The spied motorcycle also gets a new black and grey dual-tone colour scheme with red highlights.

As far as the powertrain is concerned, the BS6-compliant version is expected to witness a slight decline in output figures. The BS4 TVS Apache RR 310 makes 34PS at 9700rpm and 27.3Nm at 7700rpm. The upcoming bike is most likely to retain the same 6-speed transmission with slipper clutch.

With all these changes, the TVS Apache RR 310 BS6 is expected to command a premium of about Rs 15,000 over the BS4 model, which retails at Rs 2.28 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Once launched, the bike will compete against the KTM RC 390, which is set to be updated too.
