The 2020 X1 gets a styling upgrade that freshens up the SUVs design. The larger kidney grilles, sleek LED headlamps with 'twin-eyebrow' DRLs and the new bumper with aggressively shaped air dams are reminiscent of the 1 Series' front end. In profile, changes are limited to restyled alloy wheels which look a tad sharper than before. Highlights at the rear include redesigned tail lamps and a new rear bumper with dual exhaust outlets.
Even though the facelifted X1's dashboard looks similar to the current model, one can notice the revised instrument cluster and the updated i-Drive infotainment system.
The X1 also comes loaded with features like a panoramic sunroof, wireless Apple CarPlay, dual-zone climate control, cruise control, drive modes, ambient lighting, powered front seats, keyless entry with push-button start and a multi-info display. Safety features include six airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, a rearview camera, traction control, and electronic stability control.
The facelifted BMW X1 comes with two BS6-compliant engine options: a 2.0-litre diesel and 2.0-litre petrol. Both motors send power to the front wheels and come paired with different automatic transmissions. Here's a detailed spec table:
