at its Sriperumbudur facility. During our visit, we got to see almost all variants of the Creta, revealing various details ahead of its launch on March 17. We also got to take a glimpse of the interiors, which now comes in two colour tones. Here's all you need to know:

Exteriors:

By now, we all know that the 2020 Creta's exterior design looks similar to the China-spec ix25. You can have a closer look at it in our .

Lower-spec variants of the Creta come with halogen projector headlamps along with LED DRLs. The grille and the bumper remain largely similar to the standard model.

In profile, the Creta comes with four alloy wheel options depending on the variant you pick. Here's the list along with pictures:

  1. This version seems to be the lower-spec variant which will come with 16-inch steel wheels and full wheel caps.

  1. The car you see here comes with 16-inch steel wheels and the wheel caps are cut out to imitate an alloy wheel. This setup reminds us of the Renault Kwid.

Moving on to the rear, all variants of the Creta look similar, with split LED tail lamps and a blacked-out bumper with a skid plate.

And if you want to know that you're driving the sportier Turbo variant, look out for the dual exhaust outlets.

Interior:

The production-spec interior of the 2020 Creta looks quite similar to. The layout is conventional and simple, which is no bad thing. Also, the interior can be had in two finishes.

The sporty, all-black dashboard with red inserts is limited to the turbo variants.

Standard variants come with a dual-tone black beige dashboard.

Top-spec variants come with a 10.25-inch infotainment system with physical knobs placed right below it. And below them sits the climate control knobs.

Meanwhile, lower-spec variants utilise a smaller 8-inch infotainment system with physical controls placed beside it. Then there's the analogue instrument console which comes with a simple layout and a small multi-info display.

Top-spec variants of the Creta come loaded to the gills with features. Highlights include connected car technology, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a panoramic sunroof, a Bose sound system, ventilated front seats, cruise control, drive modes, steering-mounted audio controls as well as powered front seats.

Safety features in the Creta include 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, parking sensors, a rearview camera, electronic stability control as well as electric parking brake with auto-hold function.

Engine Options:

The 2020 Hyundai Creta comes with three engine options: a 1.4-litre T-GDI, a 1.5-litre CRDI diesel and 1.5-litre VTVT petrol.

1.4-litre T-GDI: The Creta's 1.4-litre T-GDI turbo-petrol engine develops 140PS of power and 242Nm of torque. It spins the front wheels via a 7-speed DCT. Unlike the Seltos, the Creta turbo-petrol lacks a manual option.

1.5-litre CRDI: The Creta's 1.5-litre CRDI diesel motor replaces its predecessor's 1.4-litre and 1.6-litre diesel units. It develops 115PS of power and 250Nm of torque which is a tad less powerful than the 1.6-litre CRDI. Transmission options for this engine include a 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic.

1.5-litre VTVT: The 1.5-litre VTVT engine in the Creta develops 115PS of power and 144Nm of torque. It can be had with either a 6-speed manual or a CVT. This engine develops slightly less power than the 1.6-litre VTVT unit.
