The document reveals that the hybrid petrol-manual variant of the Brezza utilises tried and tested 105PS 1.5-litre K15B petrol motor paired to an 2.4PS electric motor which aids in start-stop function and torque boost assist. This technology is used for improving fuel efficiency as it eases the load on the petrol motor. Currently, the Vitara Brezza petrol MT has a claimed efficiency of 17.03kmpl.
The leaked document also reveals the cleaner Vitara Brezza could be offered in four variants: LXI, VXI, ZXI and ZXI+.
The recently launched facelifted Vitara Brezza is the first major update for Maruti's sub 4-metre SUV. It gets a cosmetic update which freshens up its exteriors. Currently, the Vitara Brezza manual is priced from Rs 7.34 lakh to Rs 9.98 lakh (ex-showroom). Expect prices to shoot up considerably if Maruti launches the petrol manual hybrid variants. The Brezza locks horns with the Hyundai Venue,, Tata Nexon and Mahindra XUV300.
