The 2021 Kia Carnival comes with a redesigned dashboard with plenty of design cues from Mercedes cars. It comes with a large floating infotainment system which merges on to the digital instrument panel just like the E-Class. Below the infotainment sits a pair of sleek AC vents and below it are knobs and toggles for the audio system and climate control respectively. Other highlights include a new 3-spoke steering wheel which now comes with paddle shifters.

The test mule seen here seems to be the 9-seater as we could notice a pair of captain seats just behind the middle row. Just like the existing Carnival, Kia could offer the next-gen model with 6-, 7-, 8- or even 9-seater options.

Powertrain options for the 2021 Kia Carnival are yet to be known. It could feature similar engine options as the current model. For reference, the India-spec Carnival comes with a 2.2-litre CRDI unit developing 200PS of power and 440Nm of torque. It can be had with an 8-speed automatic transmission only.

The next-gen Kia Carnival could be launched by early 2021. Considering that the current-gen Carnival has been successful in the country, the next-gen model could come sooner than later. The Kia Carnival's only rival in the country is the Toyota Innova Crysta.
