The prices of the TVS Scooty Pep Plus BS6 have been revealed. Starting at Rs 51,574 (ex-showroom Delhi), the Scooty Pep Plus BS6 costs Rs 6,400 to Rs 6,700 more than its BS4 predecessor. It will continue to be available in the same three variants as before -- Scooty Pep Plus Series BS6, Babelicious Series BS6, and Matte Edition Series BS6. TVS has not disclosed any other details about the new scooter.

Given the substantial premium, we expect the updated Scooty Pep Plus BS6 to feature fuel injection. In BS4 trim, the 87.8cc motor delivers 5PS and 5.8Nm. The updated motor could see a slight drop in performance owing to stricter emissions.

The design and features are likely to be carried over but with subtle tweaks to give BS6 scooterette a fresh appeal. Features like the LED DRL, smartphone charger, and side-stand alarm could be carried over as well.
The underpinnings too are expected to remain unchanged. The Scooty Pep Plus would get telescopic forks and monoshock setup. Braking is via 110mm drum brakes at both ends. The fuel tank capacity could differ from the current BS4 model’s 5-litre, while the weight too could increase from the current 95kg.
With the XL 100 BS6 and Scooty Pep Plus BS6 updated to BS6 norms, we expect TVS to launch the Scooty Zest 110 BS6 soon.
