- TVS had launched the BS6 version earlier this year.
- This is the first price revision for the flagship TVS since its BS6 launch.
- There’s no change in its performance outputs but the vibrations are better damped.
It has been over seven months that the updated TVS Apache RR 310 has been on sale. We were quite pleased with the updates that TVS had given its flagship sportsbike and having ridden it on the track and on the road, it is safe to say that the RR 310 has become a better all-rounder. And paying the extra Rs 12,000 for the BS6 bike was justified. Now, though, TVS is asking you to fork up a bit more for the RR 310. Here’s the new ex-showroom Delhi price:
New BS6 Price |
Old BS6 Price |
Price Difference |
|
TVS Apache RR 310 |
Rs 2.45 lakh |
Rs 2.40 lakh |
Rs 5,000 |
The new asking price does tarnish a bit of its value for money proposition. And once again, the price difference between itself and its main competitor, the KTM RC 390, is back to being around Rs 8000 -- just like it was in January when the two bikes had received their BS6 updates nearabout the same time.
While the new asking price does seem a bit much for a 34PS and 27Nm motorcycle, the buying decision is not one that will cause a lot of self doubt. The new Apache RR 310 is finally the motorcycle that it should have been right from the start, loaded with technology and emitting less vibrations.
Another fantastic bit of kit that you now find on the RR 310 is the new set of shoes. The Michelin Road 5 tyres are super grippy and can certainly be mentioned in the same breath as the likes of the Metzeler Roadtec M5s that you get on the KTM 390s.
