It’s been a long time coming, but Ducati has finally started accepting bookings for its Panigale V2 supersport bike. The little Pani is due to be launched next month, which is good news, but there’s some bad news as well.
The Italian brand unveiled an extremely pretty White Rosso colour scheme for the Panigale V2 last month, and we’re sad to report that this option won’t be coming to India, at least not initially. This means that Indian buyers will have to settle for the signature Ducati red colour scheme on their baby Panigales.
Nevertheless, we still have lots to look forward to because this will be the first BS6-compliant Ducati in India. And joy of joys, it’s actually more powerful than the 959 Panigale that it replaces. An increase of 5PS and 2Nm means that the V2 pumps out an impressive 155PS and 104Nm from its 955cc L-twin motor. Head here for more details on the baby Panigale.
If you’re interested, you can ring up your nearest Ducati dealer and cough up Rs 1 lakh to save yourself a brand new Panigale V2. We expect the launch next month to reveal an ex-showroom price of around Rs 16 lakh, making it Rs 70,000 more expensive than the now discontinued 959 Panigale.
