The facelifted is all set to hit showrooms tomorrow. Apart from a restyled front end, the Tucson now features connected car technology, redesigned dashboard and BS6-compliant engine options. Here are five things you need to know about Hyundai's upcoming SUV:

Exterior:

The exterior of the facelifted Tucson features new design elements that refresh its design. The grille is now sharper and is flanked by revised LED headlamps. The front end design is complete with the addition of a new bumper. In profile, changes are limited to redesigned alloy wheels while the rear end comes with minor aesthetic updates and new detailing for the LED tail lamps.

Interior:

Inside, the facelifted Tucson now features an all-black theme which looks more sportier than the earlier black-beige combo. The dashboard gets a redesign with the main revision in the central console: the new floating touchscreen infotainment system.

Just like latest offerings, the updated Tucson features an updated infotainment system with BlueLink connected car technology. Features like Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a sunroof, cruise control, dual-zone climate control, a wireless phone charger and powered driver's seat have been retained.

Safety features include 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, front and rear parking sensors, electronic stability program, electric parking brake, vehicle stability management, hill-start assist and hill descent control.

Engines:

The facelifted Tucson will be powered by upgraded BS6-compliant 2.0-litre petrol and diesel engine options. Power and torque figures remain unchanged, with the petrol engine putting out 152PS/200Nm and the diesel engine develops 185PS/400Nm. Both engines are offered with six speed manual and automatic transmission options while the diesel engine can also be had with an all-wheel drivetrain.

Expected Prices And Rivals:

Prices for the updated Tucson are expected to start from Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom). It will lock horns with the, Skoda Karoq, the upcoming 2021 Volkswagen Tiguan and Citroen C5 Aircross.
