will commence on August 22 for a token amount of Rs 11,000. The manufacturer has also revealed some key information ahead of the Urban Cruiser's expected launch in September.
The Urban Cruiser, Toyota's foray into the sub-4 metre SUV segment, is essentially a rebadged. However, the Urban Cruiser will feature a restyled front-end that looks a tad different than the Vitara Brezza. You get Toyota's familiar twin-slat grille flanked by the Vitara Brezza's LED headlamps. The bumper is also new and features an aggressive fog lamp housing, making it look rather sporty. Apart from these upgrades, cosmetic changes are expected to be miniscule. Toyota will also offer the Urban Cruiser in a distinctive brown colour, which is not available with the Brezza.

Inside, the Urban Cruiser's dashboard will use a dual-tone dark brown colour that'll help differentiate it further from the Vitara Brezza. It'll borrow various features from the Brezza including the touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, cruise control, steering-mounted audio controls, climate control, rain-sensing wipers, and keyless entry with push-button start. Safety features will include dual airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors and a rearview camera.
It will feature the Brezza's 1.5-litre petrol engine that develops 105PS of power and 138Nm of torque. Transmission options are a 5-speed manual transmission and a 4-speed torque converter automatic. Just like the Brezza, the automatic variants of the Urban Cruiser will benefit from a mild-hybrid system that features torque assist and auto idle start-stop functions.

Toyota will offer the Urban Cruiser with a standard warranty of three years or one lakh kms, better than the Brezza's two-year/40,000 km warranty. Moreover, you also have Toyota's famed after-sales back up with quick express service and warranty extension.

The Urban Cruiser is expected to be offered in limited fully loaded variants a la the.
