  • RTR 200 4V, RTR 180, RTTR 160 4V and RTR 160 receive a price hike.
  • This is the second price hike since the launch of the BS6 versions.
  • The bikes don’t feature any cosmetic or mechanical changes.
  • TVS’ Jupiter and NTorq 125 scooters get a price hike as well.

TVS has hiked prices of its Apache range. The Apache RR 310 was the first bike to receive a price hike. Now, the Apache RTR models consisting of the RTR 200 4V, RTR 180, RTR 160 4V and RTR 160 have become dearer by Rs 1,050. Barring the RR 310, this is the second time TVS has hiked prices of the Apache RTR motorcycles post the BS6 update. Here is the updated price list of the entire Apache range.

While the price hike for the RTR models does appear nominal, it has to be noted that the bikes had received a price hike of Rs 2,500 two months ago.  For some RTR models, that’s a hike of upto Rs 5,000 over the price hike they received during the BS6 transition. The disappointing bit is that there is no cosmetic, feature or mechanical updates to justify the price increment. TVS also hiked prices of its Jupiter and NTorq 125 scooters.

It is not just TVS that has hiked prices of its BS6 motorcycles. All major Indian bikemakers have been following this practice. You can check out the Yamaha’s updated price list here.
