Aside from the occasional expansion into a new city, things have been pretty quiet on the Ather front of late. Since the launch of its evolutionary 450X e-scooter earlier this year, we haven't heard much about the Hero MotoCorp-backed startups product pipeline. That's about to change now, though, because the Bengaluru-based manufacturer is all set to unveil a Collector's Edition of the 450X on 25 September, just three days away.

Not much is known about the upcoming variant but the Collector's Edition will certainly feature a special livery to help tell it apart from the standard 450X. If the brand's teaser email is anything to go by, then the colours red and white will take centre stage on the Collector's Edition. Usually, differences on these limited edition variants are limited to just visual tweaks, but this being Ather, the Collector's Edition could also feature performance and/or battery life upgrades, as well as some new features.
Any new product from an innovative brand like Ather is always something to be excited about, and it's no different with this Collector's Edition. However, our excitement is slightly tempered because the 450X is already quite an expensive proposition, and this limited edition will only make it even pricier. Stay tuned to ZigWheels for the unveil on Friday….
