Benelli has been working on new twin, triple and four-cylinder motors for its future models. You can check out details about its twin and three-cylinder motors here and here. The Italian bikemaker is developing 650cc and 1000cc inline-four engines as well.

Benelli’s parent company Qianjiang Motors has just launched the SRG600 faired motorcycle. This may be rebranded as the Benelli 600RR and sold globally. However, Benelli could also launch its mid-capacity naked and faired motorcycle with the new Euro 5-compliant 650cc inline-four motor. So we could see a new TNT 650 and 650RR being launched globally in the near future.

The new 1000cc inline four-cylinder motorcycle could power Benelli’s new 1000cc naked, sports tourer or adventure tourer. It would go up against motorcycles such as the Kawasaki Z1000, Ninja 1000 and Versys 1000 which use the same engine platform. Interestingly, Benelli has also acquired the rights to MV Agusta’s 1078cc inline-four motor which delivered 160PS and 100Nm in the BS4 Brutale 1090.
