After the launch of its first BS6 motorcycle, the Panigale V2, Ducati is set to launch the Scrambler next. Going by the teaser video, it will not be the smaller and more popular Scrambler 800 range, but the Scrambler 1100. As before, Ducati is expected to launch the Scrambler 1100 Pro and Scrambler 1100 Sport Pro in India. While the Italian bikemaker has not revealed an exact date for the upcoming bikes, we reckon they could be in showrooms by the end of this month. We expect the Scrambler 1100 Pro and Scrambler 1100 Sport Pro to be priced around 12 lakh and Rs 13.5 lakh (ex-showroom) respectively.

Ducati had revealed the Euro 5 Scrambler 1100 range comprising the 1100 Pro and 1100 Sport Pro overseas. It replaces the BS4 Scrambler 1100 range consisting of the 1100, 1100 Special and 1100 Sport. Besides a cleaner motor, the Scrambler 1100s get revised graphics, a new paint job, a new twin exhaust setup, an updated seat and tail section consisting of a shorter rear fender and lower number plate holder. The Ducati Scrambler 1100 Sport Pro stands out with a flatter handlebar with bar-end mirrors and Ohlins suspension.

The updated Euro 5/BS6-compliant 1079cc air-cooled L-twin motor makes 86PS at 7500rpm and 88.4Nm of torque at 4750rpm. That’s a performance drop of 1.1PS over the BS4 motor. The motor gets ride-by-wire with three riding modes: Active, Journey and City. Other electronic rider aids include four-stage traction control and cornering ABS.
