As we head closer to the upcoming flagship SUV. This time, the carmaker has revealed a brochure with everything you need to know about each variant's features and their seating and powertrain options. Here's all of them explained in detail:
Super
Kicking things off is the base-spec Super variant in the Gloster's lineup. It is only available in the 7-seater configuration as well as the 163PS/375Nm 2.0-litre turbo diesel engine with rear-wheel drive. All engines on offer are paired to an 8-speed automatic transmission. Standard kit on the outside include auto leveling LED headlamps, LED DRLs, LED taillamps, front and rear fog lamps, diamond-cut alloy wheels, and silver finish roof rails.
Inside, you get bits like a black interior theme, a 4.17-inch driver's display, a 12.3-inch infotainment system, a 6-speaker sound system, drive modes, 6-way manually adjustable driver's seat, manual AC, driver's side one touch up/down power windows, push button engine start/stop with smart entry and rain-sensing wipers. Safety kit includes dual front, side and full Length curtain airbags, ABS+EBD, ESP, traction control, front and rear parking sensors with reverse parking camera as well as hill hold and hill descent control.
Being the base variant, it misses out on a lot of premium kit such as chrome roof rails, side steps and front guard plate, a luxury brown with diamond stitch pattern interior theme, leather upholstery, and a bigger 8-inch driver's display. It also misses out on ambient lighting, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, I-Smart connected car tech, an electric sunroof, paddle shifters, a more powerful 218PS/480Nm 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel with an all-wheel drivetrain, power adjustable driver and co-driver seat, automatic tailgate, automatic climate control, wireless charging and auto tilt outside rearview mirrors (ORVM). It also misses out on the advanced driver assists, as well as a 360 degree camera.
Smart
Up next is the Smart variant which is a fair step up from the variant below it. It is offered in the 6-seater configuration only and retains the 2.0-litre turbo-diesel engine with a rear wheel drive setup. You still miss out on equipment like a dual pane panoramic sunroof, 64 color customization options for the ambient lighting, illuminated front and rear metallic scuff plates, a 12-speaker sound system, adaptive cruise control, ventilated and heater driver's seat, wireless charging, and advanced driver assists. Meanwhile, here's what it gets over the Super variant:
-
Chrome finish roof rails, side steps and front guard plate
-
Steering assist cornering lamps
-
8-inch instrument cluster
-

LED interior reading lights

Sharp
Sharp is the only variant in the lineup that can be had with both 6- and 7-seater options. It also gets the more powerful 218PS/480Nm 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel with an four-wheel drivetrain setup. This variant is another big step up from the one before and doesn't really miss out on much like a few advanced driver assists, adaptive cruise control and automatic parking assist. So it should be a viable alternative to a top-spec Glsoter, if advanced driver assists aren't your thing. Here's what you get over the Smart variant:
-
Dual pane panoramic sunroof
-
64 color customization options for ambient lighting
-
12-speaker sound system
-
Illuminated front and rear metallic scuff plates
-

Savvy
We finally head into the creme de la creme of the Gloster lineup. It retains everything from the Sharp variant and its not much of an upgrade over the variant below it. The only real gripe about this variant is that it isn't offered with the more practical 7-seater layout, instead sticking with the 6-seater option. Here's what you get over the Sharp variant:
-
Adaptive Cruise Control
-
Automatic Parking Assist
-
Forward Collision Warning
-
Automatic Emergency Braking
-
Lane Departure Warning
The MG Gloster will be offered in four color options: Agate Red, Metal Black, Metal Ash and Warm White..
