Royal Enfield Meteor 350 India Launch Delayed

The India launch of the Royal Enfield Meteor 350 has been pushed to next month. It was initially expected to be launched by the end of this month. But with the new schedule in place, you will have to wait a little longer to get your hands on Royal Enfield’s all-new cruiser.

Expect the motorcycle to be priced from around Rs 1.75 lakh (ex-showroom). Quite a lot of details about the cruiser have been leaked online. We already know it will be offered in three variants. The Meteor 350 will also be the first Royal Enfield to sport a modern semi-digital instrument cluster with smartphone compatibility and turn-by-turn navigation

The all-new 349cc single-cylinder is likely to be counterbalanced for better refinement. According to the leaked images, it produces 20.48PS and 27Nm, which is 1.12PS more and 1Nm less than the current BS6-compliant 346cc air-cooled fuel-injected UCE motor. Expect the motor to be linked to a 6-speed transmission for better highway-cruising capability.

The bike’s new double-cradle frame employs a telescopic front fork and twin 6-step preload-adjustable shock absorbers. Braking is via a large 300mm front and a 270mm rear disc, with dual-channel ABS as standard. It will take on the Bajaj Dominar 250 and the Jawa Forty Two. Honda is also planning to bring in a Royal Enfield rival on the 30th of this month. You can read more about it here.
