Carlin's Jehan Daruvala caps off a difficult round six of the FIA Formula 2 World Championship at Barcelona with a 17th place finish in the sprint race. His teammate and fellow Red Bull junior driver Yuki Tsunoda made it across the line in 4th position.
Starting, Daruvala yet again lost a couple of places off the line and since a pitstop is only optional combined with a circuit being difficult for overtaking, the Indian driver was mired at the tail end of the field.
Daruvala was at one point up to 14th in the closing stages of the race due to some of the drivers ahead making a last minute pitstop. But it didn't last very long as the pace advantage from some of the drivers behind was enough to drop Daruvala down to 17th position at the flag.
Overall it was a forgettable round six for Jehan Daruvala and will hope for a better showing when Formula 2 action resumes at Spa Francorchamps from August 28-30.
