Kawasaki had recently announced that it will be unveiling two new motorcycles on October 12th and November 23. The bikemaker has not revealed any details about the upcoming motorcycles but if the industry grapevine is to be believed, it could be an updated Versys 650 and a new Ninja ZX-10R.
While Kawasaki has significantly updated most of its 650cc lineup, the popular Versys 650 hasn't received any major updates till date. Kawasaki could launch the Versys 650 with updated bodywork and a colour TFT screen with Bluetooth connectivity from the Ninja 650 and Z650. Its Euro 5/ BS6 compliant 649cc parallel twin motor could be left untouched. A feature packed Versys 650 would bring it more up to date with the competition.
Kawasaki’s Ninja ZX-10R is now due for a generational update and could be the next bike coming from the Japanese bikemaker. Or it could launch a 2021 homologation special ZX-10R. The new motorcycle could feature a new look resembling the current crop of Ninjas like the Ninja ZX-6R, Ninja 650 and Ninja 400. Given the current trend among superbikes, the bodywork could feature winglets. Given that the Honda CBR1000RR-R now makes 217PS, we could see the next generation Kawasaki match that power output.
If Kawasaki does unveil these two motorcycles, we could see them launching in India by early 2021.
